The surrounding area offers plenty of ancient towns to explore, like Saffron Walden and Thaxted. The hosts provide everything you could need and the breakfast pack is a great value. The guest house is tastefully decorated and well-equipped, making for a comfortable stay.

One downside was the soft mattress on the double bed, a firmer one would have been preferred.
